For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, Mint Condition, New Old Stock 2010 Writer's Series Montblanc Mark Twain Limited Edition Fountain Pen. This pen comes with the original boxes, Montblanc Literature, and the original nib sticker affixed to the blind cap. This fountain pen has never been inked, is considered New Old Stock, and is in Mint Condition.

This Montblanc Limited Edition Writers Series Edition is the Mark Twain Fountain Pen. Mark Twain's signature is inscribed on the cap ring/banding (see image 6). The top of the cap is shaped to resemble the Mississippi steamboat chimneys, whose steam is illustrated by ivory-colored precious resin. The clip is formed by a stylized harp, a musical instrument that was popular in the Southern states in Twain’s time. This Mark Twain Fountain Pen is a limited edition number, "3442/12000". The top banding also has the Montblanc Serial Number, "KU1311471".

The cap and barrel are made of blue precious resin (which looks black) and are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or wear. This fountain pen measures 5 5/8" in length capped and 6 3/8" inches posted.

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system that I have tested with water and works as it was designed to. I have taken apart the piston to clean and grease it along with cleaning the inside of the barrel. The piston works as it should and smoothly. Additionally, when removing the piston and nib from the pen, there were never any traces of ink. This is how I have concluded the fountain pen has never been inked and is in Mint condition.

The 18-karat, rhodium-plate nib is engraved with two rope fathoms used to indicate the depth under a boat’s keel and is marked. "4810, 18K/750, 2010, MONTBLANC". This nib is designated as a MEDIUM and the point measures .74mm when using digital calipers.
